The 2024 Icelandic Literary Prize

goes to THE POND!

This Wednesday my book Tjörnin (e. The Pond) was awarded the 2024 Icelandic Literary Prize in the Children's & Young-adult book category. I got three minutes on live television to say something. This is what I said.

The speech was delivered and written in Icelandic. Smellið á hlekkina til að njóta þess ástkæra, ylhýra.

To be clear: This is a gesture of gratitude, not the beginning of a certain salute! To the right: The book in question.
